not refreshing cache on product save

TOPIC: not refreshing cache on product save

not refreshing cache on product save 11 years, 10 months ago #34855

When my client saves a product with new information, eg to put out of stock or to change the price etc, the category views that the product is in are not refreshed. ( ie the timestamp at the bottom of the source code page was unchanged )

Under system>mturbo management>categories & system>mturbo management>products all dropdowns are set to yes and all categories are ticked.

I tried rebuilding the htaccess and updating the urls from the rewrite table in case that would work, but this didn't help. I also tried Generate a list of the URLs but this didnt work either

There are add request to queue in DB table 'core_config_data' after saving product/category. See 
SELECT * FROM core_config_data WHERE path LIKE 'mturbo/event/queue'
. This queue is gradually flushed during some requests in the administration. The value '0!' means that the queue is empty.

Try to look in the database immediately after saving product/category. If queue is empty then event after save not working, if queue is full then gradually flushing not working. It is first step to recognize what is wrong.

Remotely like this is hard to say what is wrong and why. Problem can cause a 3rd party module which manages the Magento events.

The requests to download some pages are stored, but are not flushed. The flushing should be executed every 10 mins by Magento Cron system. Make sure that your cron is correctly set (www.jnorton.co.uk/blog/how-correctly-configure-magento-cron-job), please?
