CIDOC CRM Based Museum Applications Workshop

Brno, Ostrava - On 20^th of September 2006, we will organize a workshop named CIDOC CRM based museum applications. It will be held on the grounds of the Moravian museum in Brno. This workshop is organized in tight cooperation with Methodological Centre of Information Technologies in Museology (CITeM) and Mr. Juhani Heikka, the general manager of Museo24 project.

Abstract

Conceptual Reference Model CIDOC CRM becomes an ISO standard and will be soon widely used as a model base for museum cataloging tools. The first application using this approach is Museum24 project. CITeM includes CIDOC CRM in its plans for a new generation of Demus. The goal of this workshop is to get closer to uses of CRM and to introduce the Museum24 project and its developpers not only to CITeM personell, but to all interested.

Date and Location

The event will be held on September 20^th, starting at 10:00 in the main building of Moravian Museum, Zelný trh, Brno, Czech Republic.
