There is nothing from my host that is preventing webdav from editing. Because it does allow to open a document, so there should not be anything preventing it to edit a document.

Yes, my host verified while on the phone that mod_dav was enabled and we sent a request to the server admin to ensure that the directory for the documents folder was enabled and they confirmed that it is enabled as well. Do you want to login to joomla?

So, we've added the rule to .htaccess and enabled on our server including the directory.

Now when we open a Word file and try to save back to the server it is asking us to 'Save As' to a local location.

I thought the app was to save the same file back to the server?

We are using JomSocial 2.2.4 with the latest JomSEF extension. The JS profile URL only allows us to use the Joomla Default Handling to edit the URL and not the JomSEF handler. Can you help with this? Please see the image. There should be an edit box to change the URL, but again in JomSEF it does not appear.

Also, we noticed that your JomSocial extension says:

JomSocial commercial J1.5 tested with JomSocial v1.8.2, v1.8.5

Does that mean we can't use it for 2.2.4 and thus not working right?
