Hey, I'm VERY KEEN on looking into using E-Tickets on our site.

At the moment we have a customised version of VirtueMart using PIN Codes and then a home built "Validation" page, but this has a few issues which I'm hoping Artio E-Tickets may well resolve.

I understand that E-Tickets uses Virtuemart for its order processing system, one of the issues with VirtueMart is that order emails are sent out BEFORE payment has been made, which causes some confusion. Does this still happen, or is VirtueMart used only for Payment?

Am I correct in assuming any VirtueMart payment modules can be used?

There are a couple of features which I'm wondering are being considered:
1) Auto Admission - At the moment, after playing with the demo, it would appear that when admitting tickets, the employee needs to scan the ticket, then click on the "Confirm" button - Ideally We would rather that they only need to scan the ticket, and as long as it's valid then automatically record it as "used" but then give them an "undo" button for the last scanned ticket.
2) Better Visual Feedback - Ideally it would be better when scanning tickets, that "Valid" tickets have some sort of green prompt for the staff to quickly see without having to read the screen, and perhaps Red for any tickets which fail validation.
3) Lookup by name - There are always going to be cases where customers forget their tickets before coming to the venue - Being able to search for the name on the ticket validation screen would be handy
4) Current Admission Status - Our venue is a nightclub, and we have a maximum occupancy at any time. For the number of admitted ticket holders, we need to know how many have been redeemed so that we can calculate how many additional customers we can admit. Having a "status" screen with the number of Sold Vs Redeemed tickets so that staff can easily see the current admission status.
