Thanks jirka. That's fixed my problem, didn't realise it was packaged with the virtuemart extension I bought. Installed this, then my web site didn't work but quickly realised there was an upgrade available. Upgraded and now everything works fine.

I did have sefpatch_virtuemart installed on my web site at www.searchwomen.co.uk but got some error when I upgraded from a previous version of Artio. Where can I download this sef patch from?

I use Artio 2.2.4, not sure about previous versions. But this is how I get rid of virtuemart in the url:

Go to Artio JoomSEF configuration
Near the bottom of the page is Component Configuration
Find com_virtuemart
If you want to get rid of the virtuemart bit, tick the tickbox on the right

If you would like to add your shop name to the url, then enter your shop name in the custom title box.

I've fixed the problem now, it was nothing to do with JoomSEF. Despite the fact that my WYSIWYG editor being set to default to JCE in global config it was actually defaulting to TinyMCE. I had TinyMCE set to unpublish so I didn't think this was possible. But it was, so what I had to do to fix the problem was something simple:
Go to Site Menu > User Manager > My Super Administrator login
and change my default editor from nothing to JCE.

I am using the jce WYSIWG editor to edit my main content page.

I don't want any urls in my main content page being picked up by Artio JoomSef, so I set com_jce to skip in the ArtioJoomSef configuration area.

For some reason though it is still picking my urls up and changing:
www.seducemen.co.uk/cgi-bin/forms/forms.cgi?form=6
to: www.seducemen.co.uk/Category Name/cgi-bin/forms/forms.cgi?form=6

Does anyone know how to fix this problem or a workaround?

Post edited by: seducemen, at: 2006/12/31 22:09
