I get the following error from the joomla installer:

Warning
Component Install: Another component is already using directory: /home/..../public_html/test/components/com_booking

and the upgrade bombs.

Hi,

please, use this way for updating to the newest/latest version:
if your download ID is set in Components -> ARTIO Booking -> Control Panel -> tab Configuration -> Configuration -> tab Registration -> field ARTIO Download ID
then you can updates to the newest version here: Components -> ARTIO Booking -> Control Panel -> tab Configuration -> Check Updates
