In that case they seem quite normal. Do you use subdomains configuration in JoomSEF?

no subdomains here, just www.xy.com and www.xy.de

some more popping up while just browsing main language. Still seems to be completely random.

What versions of Joomla, JoomSEF and FaLang do you use please? I'll test this behaviour on our test server.

joomla 2.5.8, Joomsef 4.2.9, Falang 1.1.7
should be always the latest version
