After installed JoomSEF, Joomla's search module does not work. When I disabled JoomSEF, the search module works. I could not find any solution for this problem. Look at the attached screenshot which shows the search result after I do a search. It adds some "404" chars after searched word(the word is "deneme" for this search). Any idea?

This is really strange, I haven't seen this problem before. Do you have any custom modifications made to the search module? What version of JoomSEF do you use? You can also try reinstalling JoomSEF.

JoomSEF version is 3.6.3

I found a few people at internet who have same problem with me.

No custom modification at saerch module.

I use custom 404 page from JoomSEF configuration.


PS: You can remove my duplicate thread at other page, I can not remove it.

Try upgrading your Joomla to 1.5.18. And what does the URL look like when you search for something? Could you post the URL where I can see this problem?

Hello, I just upgraded my Joomla version to 1.5.18 and the problem is still continuing.

The url looks like this: xxxyyyzzz.com/search.html?searchword=joomla

(Search word was "joomla" for this search)

Search term must be a minimum of 3 characters and a maximum of 20 characters.

And what does the Real URL look like for the search.html SEF URL? You can find out on Manage SEF URLs page.
