Hello,

i just bought the Artio Virtuemart extension. The installation worked just fine.

I got a problem with the categories menu, it doesn't work. There is categories menu, but every link is like this: www.domain.com/cs/shop, so every link refers to virtuemart eshop home page.

Everything seems to be fine. I tried to change menu type to every available menu type, but it didn't help.

Hello,

Make sure that after you've installed the VM extension you've deleted all the previously created SEF URLs for VirtueMart in JoomSEF's URLs Manager and that you've also cleared the JoomSEF's cache.

Thank you for your response.

The component is working now, but there is another problem: The page is VERY slow.

Is there any option how to make the page faster? I cannot use JoomSEF if it makes the page slow like this :-(

Also I have one more problem. I found, that if I open some products, it redirects me to shop home page. The link looks OK, but when I open it, it regirects me to home page. Name of product in eshop is "table 1300x700x30mm, R16, legs 60x60mm, material wood". Maybe there is some problem with numbers in product name?

You could probably use the Joomla's caching on your website to make it faster.

Numbers should not be a problem. Please post the generated SEF URL and its Real URL for the product that has this problem - you can find both URLs in the JoomSEF's URLs Manager.

It didn't help and I cannot use it anyway, because if I turn cache ON, Virtuemart displays first product in categories multiple times.

Is there any other option how to make web page with JoomSEF faster?

I have a similar problem...

I installed JoomSEF VM extension. I had an older version of JoomSEF running, and had to pay for the upgrade, since my upgrade period expired. Everything was working fine with previous install, and I had all the URL's just the way I wanted them. After the upgrade, I cleared the cache and SEF URL's. When the new URL's were created, it was showing an incorrect VirtueMart category in the link:

mysite.com/widget-category/widget-item <---- correct

But after the upgrade, the URL's were changed as follows:

mysite.com/incorrect-category/widget-category/widget-item

The problem is that this incorrect-category is showing up on ALL of the URL's for Virtuemart products, categories, etc.

So no matter the category, it shows the incorrect-category in the URL, and has caused numerous 404 errors to be generated because the old links - although linked to the correct item - did not work due to these changes made by upgrade.

I doubled checked VM extension, and I've even done some testing, removing the Category option from my URL's, but it's still generated in the URL. I've cleared the cache and SEF URL's mutliple times, and the same URL's are re-created.

Not sure what to do here anymore.

You can check the site here. Take a look at the store menu on the left. You will see RENTAL PACKAGES in each URL, which is incorrect. I managed to fix a few manually for testing, but there are over 100 URL's, which have this incorrect-category inserted in it's URL.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Is there a way to bulk change SEF URL's? Then I could just do a text replace.
