to remove the blog.html, you need to go to Content extension setitngs and check the settings Default layout and Add layout to URL.

As for the blog.html, yes we already did all of that. However, we want to turn off the blog.html and have the sectionex extension working at the same time. So far we cannot get the sectionex working at all with JoomSEF.
