We have about 750 products on our webshop, we have to update our components and switch the language of the website.

My question is whether updating / purging URL would delete the corresponding Meta Title, Tag information or not ?

Hello,

If you use the latest version of JoomSEF (3.7.5) then purging the URLs only moves them to Trash with all of them meta tags, internal links and aliases being stored. When you browse the website, the URLs from Trash are reused and only the SEF URL is updated as necessary, so you won't lose any of the custom meta data.
