As before no help on this forum and i see there are dozens of questions unanswered, im going to review this one on JED as great if it works but useless if you need a hand and going to try this component :

anyone else tried it ? It gets good reviews and i know they are a lot more helpful that Artio !!

I know the instructions are in the FAQ but i just cant follow them ? Can someone make it a bit clearer please ?

this just doesnt make any sense to me :

Disabling VirtueMart 2.0.22 and newer PDF Invoices

To prevent customer from getting also VM2 native invoices, you first need to create a dummy order status in VirtueMart -> Order Statuses called for example "No Invoice", and then assign it to the "Default Order Status to create an invoice" option in VirtueMart -> Configuration -> Checkout settings. That way the invoice PDF won't be created.

If you don't want your customers to receive any e-mails from VirtueMart at all, set your "No Invoice" status created in previuos step also to the "Default Order Status to send email to shopper" option in VirtueMart -> Configuration -> Checkout settings.

How do you create a dummy status ?

Hi.
i am testing the store and on completion of the orders the shopper and shopkeeper are getting an email with the title : "error with paypal" and the contents of the email is just :

Error while posting IPN: Unable to find the socket transport "ssl" - did you forget to enable it when you configured PHP?, 396

Any idea where i have gone wrong please ? i am using the latest version and have compared setup to a fully working shop and all seems to be the same ?

I was tempted to use the Artio SEF but the support on here for this component has been useless so in the end i just removed it completely and set URL erros to go to the home page, it shouldnt take Google too long to re index my urls and will see what happens!

Thanks for posting this - i removed sh404sef last week as i was finding it was messing up to many things on the site and lots working better now !

It appears that the vminvoice plugin causes issues with sh404sef. if you have it enabled you will get a message when saving stuff in the component that says :


Sorry, something went wrong on the server while performing this action. Please retry or cancel

turn the plugin off and this works fine - in case that helps anyone, took me flippin hours to find the issue, would be helpful if the plugin could be made compatible please.

I added all the freesans files and then just put the words theclockshed into the invoice name part and now all my invoices are called "theclockshed.pdf" perfick thanks

evgenykz - have you tried it with the invoice filename empty ? i have been able to get it to work (despite all the other bugs) with this box empty.

Hi.
I have used your contact page and got no reply after a week - so other than start a Paypal dispute i thought i would openly ask here :

the software currently simply doesnt work with the latest Virtuemart and there doesnt appear to be anything being done about it. The fact that you dont answer much on the forum should be a bit of a clue but I would like to know how to contact you and get a refund ?

If this ever works then i might be back - or just perhaps tell us when it will be fixed ?

Very frustrated and shop closed !!!

no it doesnt work.
So to clairify the latest version of this software doesnt work with the latest version of Virtuemart.

Hope there will be an update soon - my shop is currently closed and it looks like i have just blown £25

Update: I have tried older versions of vm invoice (2.12 and 2.13) and they both send a proper .pdf file BUT they still wont send a invoice attached with the automatically sent email after confirmation.

I assume this is an issue with the latest VM2 - version 2.0.10 - has anyone got it to work on this version of VM please ?

Thanks for this but perhaps i didnt make myself clear - i thought this was an older version of VM Invoice that works not VM Itself.
I dont want to go back to an older version of Virtuemart with all its bugs etc i want an older version of VM Invoice as it appears that the latest one that i have bought has substantial faults with it that i cant overcome. Im beginning to think i have wasted 29e here.
How often is there any proper support on the forum ?
Is it possible to get the older version of VM Invoice ? if anyone can email it to me at info@ myusername .co.uk ?
