We are looking for a joomla programmer that has expertise in sef url's.
We are currently using artio joomsef and have the following sef related tasks to perform:

1) analyse what sef component is best: artio joomsef or sh404SEF
- Make scenario's of what tests to perform in order to choose the best component
- Implement both sef components on our test site and perform test to find possible problems

2) Migrate our existing sef component to the new sef component
- Map the existing url's
- Make sure that no url's get lost in the migration
- generate 301 url's for the url's that are moved

3) Develop routers for the chosen sef component
We have several internal components. You must develop routers that work with the chosen sef component (routers must also include canonical url). We will explain you how the new url's must be structured.

Requirements:
You must be familiar with artio joomsef and or sh404SEF and the way they generate url's. So please state your experience with SEF url's in joomla.

We are running jreviews 2.3 with the paid joomsef plugin

We are running joomla in a subdir called "/sparen"

problem is that the canonical url's contains the subdir twice

real url
www.site.be/sparen/vergelijk/reviews-beo...is_1.html#bankreview
faulty canonical
<link href="www.site.be/sparen/sparen/vergelijk/reviews-beoordelingen-spaarbanken-sparen-belgie/bank/_bnp-paribas-fortis_1.html" rel="canonical" />

also a problem on a discussions page of jreviews
real url
www.site.be/sparen/index.php?option=com_...sions/review/id:423/
faulty canonical
<link href="/sparen/index.php" rel="canonical" />

right now on each forum page there is a canonical link to the index page
<link href="/index.php" rel="canonical" />

It is not a good idea to do it like that

This error is not caused by JFusion or phpBB but rather ArtioSEF. The only way I could get the item to be removed was by disabling "Automatic canonical link generation" in ArtioSEF's config. I tried changing that same setting in ArtioSEF's config for JFusion but ArtioSEF seemed to ignore it.

It may be a bug in ArtioSEF which causes it to ignore the canonical link generation setting for individual components that do not have SEF enabled.

We have developed a custom component.

All works when joomsef is disabled for the component. Urls look like this:
index.php?option=com_loans&view=mortgageloan&task=edit&id=183&Itemid=101
or e.g. this
index.php?option=com_loans&view=mortgageloan&task=edit&id=184&Itemid=101

however when we enable joomsef (joomsef basic rewriting) the url's are not translated correctly and they all translate to the same page:
woonleningen-vergelijken.html

independent of the id we use is the non-sef url

Can you help us?

I see several people posting their questions and even bumping them without any response from artio.

What is happening? Is the beginning of the end of joomsef?
