Wow - you were too quick for me to get back and reply...

Yes - I had another SEF extension running alongside JoomSEF - I uninstalled it and now the urls are working correctly.

I've deleted the other sitemap and have resubmitted to Google - hopefully this will solve the issues.

I was confused as to why Google were not indexing my pages - so I checked the url's - all return a 404...

In the configuration the real URL returns the correct page... so what am I doing wrong? (I'm assuming it's me - based on history....)

Here's a screenshot of one of the pages.... the domain is advent.es

the SEF URL is:

advent.es/en/content/free-marketing-health-check

the Real URL is:

advent.es/index.php?option=com_content&a...ticle&Itemid=535

I just tried to install the component and it went to a blank screen - now all I have is a blank screen for both front and admoin ends of the site.

am at a loss as to where to start to try and fix...

please can someone help?

OK - an update for anyone following....

I had both an .htaccess file and an htaccess.txt file on the server (don't ask me why - I have no idea) but removing the .txt version seems to have fixed things.....

OK - so I figured that the problem was the license - I hadn't realized that I needed a license for each site (I have two sites - one works fine - this new one has the problem and they are on different servers)

so I bought a new download - installed and have exactly the same problem - now I'm lost and poorer!

Just kidding - I know there is a solution... any pointers would be great.

I've installed the component and all seems to be set correctly . but there are no pages being indexed - no url's being generated, nothing - all the lists are simply empty.... I'm lost!

what am I doing wrong?
