I looked at your FAQ's on this and it does not give any direction on what to do about it-just tells us what is causing it and that does not give me a clue how to fix it.

I guess I am stupid because I can use just about any component in Joomla and I always have trouble with my SEF.

there is many possible causes that may cause the problem. A typo, unsupported directive, incorrectly configured server, etc.
