Ok, i know I am highly unlikely to get a response, but I thought I would post anyway.

On this page it states that

The description meta tag is usually created by truncating the category/product description or the article intro text.


However, there is no way to configure this as far as I can see. I would like the text before the 'Read More' to be the Meta description - however this is not happening and there does not seem to be anyway to configure this. Can anyone help?
