In previous versions (3.x) I know how to set to not show the section and also use the alias of the articles. However in the current version 4.1.1 does not find a way to configure it the same way.

domain.com/category/alias-title-of-document.html
domain.com/section/category/alias-title-of-document.html

Version 3.x have in configuration options like:

Show Section?
Show Category?

In version 4.1.1 i don't know how to remove /section/ from url.

I'm migrating a large site that uses version 3.0 and was configured to not include the sections in URLs. It is very important to get to keep the same urls to keep rankings in search engines.

Surely it will be easy to set this version does away with the sections and also use the alias of the articles, but I really can not find the right way to configure it so.

Please can you help me find the right choice to do these two things?

The reason for this is very simple - since Joomla 1.6 there are no sections, only multiple levels of categories. If you use only two levels (similar to section/category from older Joomla) you can set option "Add categories to URL" to "Only last one" to achieve the same effect as disabling "Show section" in JoomSEF 3.

You can use options "Title URL part" and "Category URL part" the same way as in JoomSEF 3 to use alias instead of title.

You can find all these options in Content extension parameters using the Manage Extensions page in JoomSEF.
