TOPIC: JomSef 4 - Aliases Links wont working?!?

JomSef 4 - Aliases Links wont working?!? 12 years, 8 months ago #23605

Hi,
i am new to Joomsef. I installed the version for Joomla 1.6 - the first look is very good. But the Aliases are not working.

Example:
I made a new Sef (inkl. 301):

There I would like to add in the "ALIAS" field also "similar" pages, like this site:

I entered in the ALIAS FIELD:
wellnessinformationen/thermen-im-test/die-getesteten-thermen

But it wont work. Where is my mistake?

thx in advance
kind regards

Hello,
I would like to help but I am afraid I do not understand your question completely.

What do you have in mind when reffering to "alias". Please give a specific example.

Hi,

I meant this:
"Manage SEF URL" --> "ALIASES" (2nd Tab; 1st Tab is URL)
If I enter there some URL's like
- index.php?option=com_content&catid=54&id=68&view=article or
- wellnessinformationen/thermen-im-test/die-getesteten-thermen

This pages won't be forwarded to the entered SEF URL, i entered. Or do I misunderstanding something here?

How should the "alias function" work?

thx & kind regards

That should be correct, unless the URLs you entered into alias already exist.
Then they will take precedence.

Also make sure the URLs are relative - that means they do not include domain name.
