TOPIC: ArtioSEF Problems with com_frontpage

ArtioSEF Problems with com_frontpage 17 years, 4 months ago #1191

Hello,

I've been using Artio JoomSEF for some time now but I recently needed to change the frontpage of the website to a static content article...

I've got an article called "home" that is published as first in the main menu of the website. Accesing it by /home.html works OK. I renamed my "Frontpage" to "News", moved it the 2nd link in the menu and now when I go to the index page of my website, I get an error:

The page you are trying to access does not exist.
Please select a page from the main menu.

I've even tried to edit the SEF's manually but it still seems it doesn't work. It just wants com_frontpage as the first page and as a site index. I've got no choice but to disable SEF for now and I'd really like to keep using it...

Anyone in the same sittuation as me?

I have had the same problem for some time now. Sometimes I can get it to work buy adding and deleting pages.

Sometimes it works - sometimes it doesnt. Very big problem though.

This doesn't seem like a com_frontpage issue. That component is placed with the mosMainBody() tag.

Your situation sounds more like a artio database entry. you should delete your previous entries for those links and recreate them. It ought to work.

or have you tried that already?

Tried deleting everything in the database a few times. Sometimes even entries got stuck and I deleted everything manually. Same issue.
I even tried uninstalling it, making the desired changes and then re-installing the SEF component. Same stuff. It just wants to place com_frontpage as the first page of the website.
