TOPIC: Docman and Artio

I'm using Docman 1.4 stable.

I've downloaded and installed your SEF component. So far I'm really impressed, and thinking of purchasing the paid version.

I do have one issue though. I cannot get it to work with Docman, even though I'm using the plugin. Searches have yielded no answers.

When I enable the global settings for SEF on docman, the downloads index loads only a blank page. If I set it to "no cache" it will load the index, but return a 404 error on viewing the category.

I've got it set to "skip" right now. I'd really like to have this option enabled on the downloads.

Is there something special I need to do so it will work on Docman? Aside form installing the plugin of course.

Cheers,

-Marcus

Hello,

there is nothing special I would be aware of needed to succesfully run JoomSEF + Docman.
We have used the Docman extension with Docman 1.4.0b for a long time before we have migrated to Joomla 1.5.x.

Make sure to:
1. activate the docman extension
2. purge URLs that might have been already generated for Docman
3. clear JoomSEF cache

Make sure the JoomSEF metabot is active and ordered first among system metabots.
If you need any additional help, we might do a check directly at your site, if you purchase paid support.

I just purchased the latest version of JoomSEF.

The problem persists. If I install and enable the metabot the system locks me out saying "Direct access to this file is not allowed". I had to go in through phpmyadmin to disable it and access the site.

I'm using Docman 1.4 Stable. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
