There should be no problem using the FTP layer with JoomSEF. Please make sure that your FTP settings are correct. Are you able to make changes in your Joomla's Global Configuration file?

Guys, I think we're getting a little off track here...

My Joomla configuration file works great. My FTP access with Joomla works great. I never said I couldn't use the FTP layer with JoomSEF. You asked if I used the FTP layer and the answer is yes. So the last post makes no sense to me since I don't have a problem with the FTP layer.

Where I do have a problem goes back to the original post - I can't save my JoomSEF configuration. The configuration file is there, the permissions are correct, and your own page shows that the configuration.php is writeable. But all changes are lost on any apply or save.

Can you think of anything else I can check?

I'm sorry, but you would be surprised what problems with configuration people usually have.

This is the first report of such problem and we were unable to replicate it, so could you please provide me with the access information to your website administration and FTP so I can test it directly on your website? I'm having the exact same problem... Checked permissions, all look fine, checked FTP details and all look fine. I can't even switch into professional mode, which was the sole purpose of purchasing this extension. Any thoughts, before I ask for a refund?

Hi PaulFrost,

Please describe your specific problem, what exactly happens when you click the Save or Apply button in JoomSEF's Configuration?
Also report what versions of Joomla and JoomSEF do you use, and which web browser and its version you use.

When we click the save or save and close button, nothing happens (problem is specific to JoomSEF). We're using Joomla 2.5.1 and JoomSEF v4.0.

In terms of browsers, we're using Safari 5.1.7, but we have the same problem in FF and Chrome. Have emailed you the related login details by way of reference.
