I am trying to implement hidden div tags with an anchor, and cannot seem to prevent a jump to the home page.
<a href="#" .... Always loops back to index.

Anyone have the best methodology to circumvent this behavior?

Have you tried to disable base href generation or use absolute URLs? You can find more information in this FAQ.
