Does JoomSEF rely on Global Configuration / Search Engine Friendly URL's to be enabled? I've had problems with the original docman not working when the Joomla SEF was enabled and noticed the same thing occuring with your program JoomDoc.

I am considering purchasing JoomSEF if it doesn't rely on Joomla Global Config/ SEF to be enabled, because I can use both your products with no problems.

Let me know so I can make my buying decision.

P.S. are you aware of the problem with JoomDoc not working when Joomla SEF's are enabled?

Hello,

Yes, the Search Engine Friendly URLs need to be enabled in Joomla's Global Configuration for JoomSEF to work, but with JoomSEF it works in different way. You can try the free version of JoomSEF with the JoomDoc extension for JoomSEF to see how it works, so you can decide if you want to buy the paid version.

As regards the problem with JoomDoc and standard Joomla's SEF, thank you for the report, we'll test it.

Hm, what exactly is the problem with JoomDoc when using standard Joomla's SEF? It seems to be working fine.

I haven't even tested JoomSEF.
1. I installed JoomDoc on a clean site (no plugins)
2. I turned on Search Engine Friendly URLs' in Global Configuration
3. JoomDoc does not work. (Works fine if Joomla SEF is turned off)

This is my problem.

Well, what exactly "does not work" mean? You see the 404 page? Or some other error? And is the 404 showing up the Joomla's 404 or the browser's 404 error page?
