the only hint I can give you is: try try try :) As it's working on my joomla site it generally should work on your site also. My way of fixing sef url problem is to try every possible setting. Perfect would be if you could set up a demo website somewhere else. There you could try to replicate this problem...

thank you so much for your time! At the moment I'm testing Artio JoomSEF concerning this very special problem. You know what? I get a different numbering every time. Crazy.

My procedure: delete sef urls + clear cache. Then I surf on my homepage (frontpage). And then I click through to my \"test\" url. It's one of my most important articles...

My description below is based on this url. Have a look on it - At the moment there is a page-2.html - it locks perfekt: page.html, page-2.html,... But I still have this duplicate content problem. Two urls for one content: at the moment these are page.html and page-2.html.

If I delete sef urls again I'll have this mixed numbering again! After about 10 times I sometimes have luck getting correct numbers... But then other articles are numbered the wrong way.

I did not delete anything manually - I don't use custom url - I just let JoomSEF do the work :)

So the problem seems to be the following: Every time I completely create new sef urls these url don't show to the same content which they belonged to before deleting all sef urls. Thats why I had to switch of JoomSEF for PonyGallery and for the Bookmarks component - everytime I had completely new urls.

So these components aren't that important - my content is important ;)

Page-4.html --> index.php?option=com_content&id=171&limit=1&limitstart=2&task=view&Itemid=132
Page-5.html --> index.php?option=com_content&id=171&limit=1&limitstart=3&task=view&Itemid=132
Page-6.html --> index.php?option=com_content&id=171&limit=1&limitstart=4&task=view&Itemid=132

Page-7.html --> index.php?option=com_content&id=171&limit=1&limitstart=0&task=view&Itemid=132

Page-7.html shows the same content as Page.html. \"limitstart=0\" seems responsible for that :D So this is a core problem?

This definitely is a SEO problem and not related to JoomSEF! :) I'm absolutely sure about that. Unfortunately I don't know any english SEO forum as I'm located in Germany.

Just use Google search and browse the web searching a SEO (search engine optimization) forum! Be patient and keep on learning on SEO - It took me some time too. This is not the easiest part of webdesign...

in the last weeks I tried to work on the duplicate content (DC) problem on my side. Generally Joomla has some serious DC weaknesses (email and pdf funktion). Now I discovered a special DC problem concerning Artio JoomSEF:

When using page break (I have to) I get i.e. 5 pages. So the urls SHOULD look like the following:

.../page.html
.../page-1.html
.../page-2.html
.../page-3.html
.../page-4.html

BUT in reality it looks like this:


.../page.html
.../page-3.html
.../page-4.html
.../page-5.html
.../page-6.html
AND (!)
.../page-7.html

The last additional link comes from the \"back\" button on the second page (page-2.html). This behavior I have on all my articles using page break. I don't have this when using sh404 instead of JoomSEF :( (tested on a test site).

So the problem occurs on the first \"page break\" site. Page-3.html should be Page-2.html and Page-7.html should be Page.html! :D:D

In conclusion: Page.html and Page-7.html have duplicate content which Google hates.

I can't see why I'm having this problem and where it comes from. Where's the logic behind this? ;) :)

I'd appreciate your help, ideas or explanations very much!

2: I completely respect your limited support time - especially for the standard htaccess question which can be solved easily searching the forum or the web!

Unfortunately there are some special questions from time to time - I'd love to pay you for having some minutes of support time on urgent questions - but for my part your support time is not affordable :( I'm a student ;)

I've had some serious problems with my URLs the last weeks (i.e.: JoomSEF + JomComment - solved now). Due to that I crashed on google SERPS. I guess that life ;)

I just love your great component and I'd spend some money for your great work - no problem at all!

But first of all: Please tell me and us where your sponsor links are located - some people are discussing, that there are not only links in the meta tag area but also in the buttom module position.

I cannot find these links on my page! I'm using the free version of Artio JoomSEF 2.2.2. So what am I doing \"wrong\" ? ;) I just deactivated the Artio Metatag Bot as I don't need this bot.

So please tell us where you really using sponsor links - so I can think about buying the paid version.

Another question: I don't get any free support having bought the paid version, right? :( I've to pay for every question: www.artio.net/en/support-services/support-services?vmcchk=1

On my page I cannot find any sponsor links in the source code. Are they only located in the meta tags? I'm not using the Artio Metatag Bot...

this is the first time that I don't find an answer by myself. So I'm really curious if anybody has ever seen urls like this:

.../blog-de.html/index.php

blog-de is a section on my page. Everything works perfectly but since JoomSEF 2.2.2 I've this special section problems.

So in one sentence: Where does the .html come from? In this case (url) the html is not useful... :)

I'm losing many visitors right now due to this new url... Shit happens :D

Pony Gallery ML User need a customized com_ponygallery.php and a customized com_ponygallery.xml...

Artio has an _com_example.txt file - inside this file you can find the general instructions how to realize a sef function for pony ... but's really complex... :(

There is a working SEF Extension for the SEF component OPEN SEF - sef_ext.php [file] . One could use this for realizing the Artio Joom SEF extension...
