Hello.

I just downloaded the 4.2.2 update, installed it and when i went to Configuration, i click Save & Close or Apply non of them work.

So i cannot save.

Can you please help me?

Hi,
If nothing happens when you click the buttons, please try a different web browser to see if the problem is present there too.

I tried now IE9 and Chrome and works.

First time i had tried Firefox 8.0.1

Really strange. If it was IE the one that was not working wouldn't be strange to me:)

I've just tried Firefox 8.0.1 and it works fine for me. Try clearing cache in your firefox, sometimes it uses cached javascript files which causes problems.

I'd like to point out that this is not a solution to the problem, but a workaround. The underlying issue still needs to be addressed.

I tried the following browsers on Mac OS X 10.7.3, and I was still unable to save:

Chrome 17.0.963.56
Firefox 10.0.2
Safari 5.1.3 (7534.53.10)

None of these browsers would allow me to save. Finally, Opera 11.61 saved the day. I maintain that this issue needs to be addressed. I paid good money for this software and it took over a full workday of labor to install and configure. I am not satisfied.

Hi haroldbr,
The original thread is a little different problem. In latest version of JoomSEF we've changed handling of configuration to be stored in database instead of the file, and there's a problem with Joomla caching the database queries. We know about this and it will be fixed in next version.
In the meantime please disable cache in Joomla when making changes in JoomSEF's configuration.
