TOPIC: 404 Page ...

404 Page ... 17 years, 6 months ago #449

  • chris2005
404 page does not show for non-existing URLs when not logged in. The page which says something like 'you don't have the rights to see this page', shows up instead.

It seems like the 404 page is for registered members only. However this is not set this way.

Pls help.

I've got v1.2.5.

Thanx.

Regards,
Chris

Could it be that you used a non-existing URL containing an existing folder with restrictive access?

For me it works perfectly, I even up an error page of my own.

No, that is not an issue. But I 'solved' it by deleting a static page with restricted access that I was not using anyway. It seems JoomSef tried to redirect to that page instead to the concerning (static) 404 page?!?!

Thanx for trying to help me.

Chris

I have the same problem. Suddenly the 404 page shows me this page instead:

You are not authorized to view this resource.
You need to login.

I deleted the 404 static page but it didn't do anything for me. It still tells me I have to log in.

Help appreciated.

It does work when I'm logged in, but that doesn't help unregistered users.

Help appreciated.
