Version 3.x series are compatible only with Joomla! 1.5. The newest version, 3.1.x is already a native Joomla 1.5 component. Please note that at the moment, you need to upgrade 3.0.x to 3.1.0 by uninstalling the old and installing the new component, the auto-update is not supported at the moment. Also please note, that JoomSEF 3.1.x has completely rewritten struture, so it is not backward compatile with extensions for older versons of JoomSEF. JoomSEF 3.1.x requires extensions with version 2.0.0 or newer.
