Yes, I searched and I have seen the same response - ask you host to increase your memory, which I did. The PHP memory is now 256MB and the error is still occurring. The host said that increasing the memory further will DEGRADE the site performance significantly, since the memory amount is per process.

Is there a problem with JoomSEF that causes it to use so much memory as compared with other extensions?

Is there ANY work-around to this error, after having raised the PHP memory to 256MB?

When I try to select the Manage SEF URLs menu option, I get the error:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 82857644 bytes) in /home/xxxxxx/public_html/libraries/phputf8/mbstring/core.php on line 121

Why would it possibly be trying to allocate that much memory?

Is it possible that something is corrupted? What's the best way to troubleshoot this?

My hosting company reported to me that they found a number of errors related to JoomSEF. The errors look like this:

Hi -

I'm trying to update JoomSEF4 from 4.2.6 to 4.2.7 using the Extension Manager: Update page in Joomla 2.5. When I try to update, I get the message "Invalid Extension Update" and the update does not occur.

So, I downloaded 4.2.7 and tried to do it manually. Then I get the error:

Fatal error: Call to a member function data() on a non-object in /home/signonhg/public_html/rpnew/tmp/install_4fd78ee4eed14/install.php on line 493

Is there something I can do to fix this?

We have bought and installed the iJoomla Ad Agency plug-in. It works for banners with URL links (see top banner on home page of www.reunionplanner.com). However, for an affiliate-type banner, the link goes to the other ad's link, as the top banner here:
www.reunionplanner.com/people-finding-resources

We may try to switch the banner type for the affiliate banner to regular URL, like the other. But it would be nice if the plugin was functional for affiliate type banners as well.

The VirtueMart Add to Cart buttons are not working on my website when JoomSEF is enabled, they work fine when disabled. If ajax is enabled on the cart nothing happens, if it is disabled it goes to the homepage. I've tried setting SEF Cart URLs to None links and got the same results.

Server is running Windows, IIS/6.0

Joomla: 1.5.22
VirtueMart: 1.1.6
VirtueMart Estension: 2.0.34
JoomFish: V2.1.3 (Twinkle)
