I am using the latest version of Joomla 3.2 and the latest version of Joomsef with the Kunena Extension.

The problem is that on Kunena Forums, the one with more than 45 subjects per page have 2, 3, 4 or even more pages to have access to all the topics.

It seems like when Joomsef is enable, you cannot access to the page 2 - 3 - 4 - etc ...

Example : www.etudionsaletranger.fr/forum/etudier-en-europe/angleterre/

You can click on page 2, or page 3, you still stay on page 1.

That is quite a problem as the forum is a main part of the website and it took me quite a few weeks to realize the problem since the migration.

I desactivated Joomsef on the test website and the pages were working fine.

Any idea on how to fix the problem ?

I cheked and they are not any different from 1.5 to 3.0.

I asked to use the full title for the URL, so I am not even sure it matters in the conception of the url.

I really have no idea why the ' is not replaced by - .

Is there any way to fix it ? Can't you write it in the htaccess or something else as a rule ?

Hello to the Joomsef team,


On my new website under Joomla 3.1.5 and under Joomsef 4.4, I am experiencing errors 500 on two kind of links.

On the main menu, there are 7 items, and only one of them shows an error 500 every 5 min when you click on it.

It is the same with many of the relative intern link that you do through the text editor of Joomla (JCE for me). You add an internal link through the tool to find your internal article, and it creates a relative url. Sometimes this kind of Urls also send back an error 500.

The point is that it is just for one time. Than you can load the page again easily and very fast. Then for 10 minutes, all the pages that could send an error 500 the first time you click on it, work fine after the first error. Then the error shows back.


What I'm really trying to say is that if you click on one link that send an error 500, then every other link including this one work perfectly fine after the first error 500 shown. Then 10 minutes later there an other one, and the same situation happens again.

I have a small problem with the strip characters. I am currently updating my website from 1.5 to 3.0. Not that many problems except that the urls now don't use a "-" to replace this one ' . (Hard to see maybe)

The point is that in french, this ', is quite useful and used in around 500 urls on my website. So I have 500 urls with this case :


Used to be like this : etudier-a-l-etranger/erasmus
and it's now like this : etudier-a-letranger/erasmus

I don't want to do 500 redirections 301, so I tried to ask Joomsef to do add ' as a strip character to be replaced by -.

But it just doesn't work. Here is my updated list of strip characters : '|,|~|!|@|%|^|*|(|)|+|<|>|:|;|{|}|[|]|---|--|..|.

Only the first one is new, but it is not taken into account.

Any idea ?
