I have problem that has occurred few weeks ago. I have one chart that I will update manually on weekly basis but now I found out that last 3 weeks it has not updated so I was studying case a bit. I had old component so I bought new one - uninstalled old component and installed latest one. All charts are shown in admin panel but when I enter new value and press render chart in admin view - all is ok. But when I click component Save or Save and close those values disappear - not saved and chart is not rendered correctly. I have old Joomla 1.5.26 and server has latest PHP 5.3.18 and MySQL 5.5.28 installed.

Any idea what has happened - I have tried in IE, FF and Chrome - all same issue. So how I can update very important chart?

Hello, there is problem with database structure. The simplest way is to uninstall component and drop all database tables with prefix jos_artiofusioncharts. Then install component again. However this process will delete all exists charts and you will have to create them again.

Hello,
that didn't solve the issue. But I found very strange solution.
I needed to do chart for 52 weeks (full year) and give value to each week. Everything went finely until week 49 appeared. Then everything got stuck - new velue was not saved. I rendered chart - looked ok - clicked save and I was thrown to main page in admin panel. Tried again - clicked save and close. Not working. Cleaned cache etc. without help.

I was using Single line 2D chart so as it shows information how I want. Changed type of chart Bar 2D and everything was shown correctly as that chart shoul. Saved now and then changed type back to Single line 2D - problem solved.

However it is not correct way to handle. Maybe you can try to reproduce issue like I did.

Hello

There is maybe plenty data to save. Charts are saved into the table jos_artiofusionchart in the column xml. There is data type text. You can use large data type as longtext. You can simply set it through PHPMyAdmin.
