We are having a multilingual website (www.quality-tuning.com) and have secured many other top level domains like www.quality-tuning.co.uk, www.quality-tuning.de etc..

Would it be possible when changing language (let's say in Joomla 2.5, using native Language Switcher) to redirect to the top level domain and not to the e.g. quality-tuning.com/de or de.quality-tuning.com subdomain? Could this be done through Joomsef?

Yes, in JoomSEF's Configuration on the Language tab set "Language integration" to "use different domains" and in Domain configuration section set one domain for each language.
