I am using VMInvoice 2.0.23.
I can create PDF Invoices without any problems - works perfect! :-).

However, once a PDF is created, if I change the template then the PDF is changed (regenerated with the new template), too. This should not happen unless I delete the invoice before.
Because if I already sent an invoice to my customer, then I change the template, then the invoice that I already sent to my customer, must not be changed.

This is really a problem for me (legally). I am not allowed to change an invoice after it is created.

How can I prevent my PDFs from being regenerated?

This functionality is not implemented in the VM Invoice. And if you will use utf8 fonts to generate PDF files, then this archive can take too much space. And what about if you will have to modify old invoice where will be one bug in calculation or anything else? It will be not possible to generate new invoice with old template.

Another free way is to use hidden copy (bcc) in:
Invoice Configuration -> Invoice E-mail -> Bcc

And have emails as archive.

Basically, I want an overwrite protection for already generated invoices. Aren't they stored on the server somewhere? Or are they always newly generated?
