Getting "Could not send message" Error

Answer

If you see the following error: Could not send message to XXXXXXXXX: ERR: 114, Cannot route message, most often the reason is, that the number does not include the correct country code. The country code must always be part of the recepient phone number.

In VM SMS, you can configure it so that if country code is not part of the phone number stored in the customer database, which is quite offen, the tool will assume the customer is local (origin from same country as seller) and the country code will be added automatically. The "local" country can be set in configuration. By default, at installation it is set to same country as is the shop owner adress.
