Price calculations:

I am renting equipment to companies and would like to have the price calculations as follows (Iceland based: currency ISK, VAT = VSK @25,5%):

1. Prices show in booking calendar excluding tax: 1.000 ISK (net) or (excl. VSK)

2. The price-calculation on check-out will be the following:

Base price: 1.000 ISK
Tax (25.5% Vsk): 255 ISK
Total Price: 1.255 ISK

Is this possible with the current setup of Booking2?

I have tried all combinations of price calculation and don't seem to get this working.

When a new customer signs up and makes a reservation, the first booking always gets the status "cancelled".

I have tried adding numerous customers trough the front end login form, making a reservation, going through the customer form and saving the registration >> the results is always the same, the first reservation gets the status "cancelled".

When the next reservation is made it gets the status "reserved" and seems ok, but the first booking keeps the status "cancelled".

I can change the status in the backend reservations but it would be good not to have the customer confused.

Hi

I have added a bookable item and added some supplements. But there seems like an error in the calculation:




When on the front end the select buttun is clicked but no quantity chosen the supplement will be added to the booking as one free unit.

Dear Artio

I would like a responce to this post.

I have tried a new dowload of the component, and installation on different domains hosted by different hosting companies.

On one of these tests, where I was using an Artisteer generated template, the pictures would show in the bookable items list, but in non of the other where I was just using the Joomla default templates.

But the main issue for me is the tax or vat.

In none of the tests would I get a possibility to get or add tax.
When I would hit the hit the new tax rate button I was always referred to mysite.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_config, which is the global configuration page for the joomla site.

When I bought the new book-it!2 component I listed "mysite.com" as the site URL.
But I have to use a sub-domain ("book.mysite.com") of my site to work on the new booking section so I don't have to take my site down while I work on this. My site is fully working site (Joomla 2.5) with Book it!, but I am upgrading to joomla 3 and changing my site.

So I am working on the new book-it!2 on the sub-domain, and when it's ready I will just change the referral in the site menu to this new section.

Now I don't know if the fact that I listed "www.mysite.is" as the Site URL but not "www.book.mysite.is", when buying your component has anything to do with this, but I would really love to have your thoughts on the subject.

If this is a limitation in the component at the moment which you are working on, it would be good to know when there is an update.

Do I get the newest update when ever I do a new download from your site within my timelimit or do just always get the same old file ie. 2.2.0. ?
The reason why I'm asking, is the update didn't work even if I did send the ID in the registration. I just get the attaced message. But I can see that there is a new update 2.2.1. I was hoping that it would fix my problem.

Hi

I have been using Book-it! paid for my little operation since january 2012 and for me it's a great software.

Now in the process of upgrading my site to joomla 3 (from joomla 2.5) I bought the new version Book it! 2.
I have encountered 2 problems so far, and was wandering if more have this problem than me.
(Joomla 3.1.5, fresh install with Protostar Joomla default template, on a new sub-domain in the old web. The hosting service is a dedicated local hosting company, not the same as in my old posts)

First, the Thumbnail image for the "Item list" will not show even though "Show Item Thumbnail" in configuration is turned to "Yes". The image will show in detail view.

Second; the Tax entry in the configuration options is corrupt. On the Prices page here is no tax entry visible and when clicking the "New" tax button, the Global Configuration page for the site will pop up.

Uninstalled Booking and installed the new version, 1.3
It seems to be working; calendar, booking and all.
Even the old database is there.
I have to play around with it more to see more, but you have my gratitude for making it work.
You definitely did stand up to my highest hopes.

Hi

looked at the debug mode in Joomla - it was off. Turned it on, changed the date in the calendar in the object detail for my first object in the back-end, saved it and got a 500 error right there:

Installed Joomla 2.5 and installed Booking. Everything looks good at the back end.
Front end doesn't work so well. The page with Object list comes up. But when I hit the "Make a Reservation" button the >error 500< message comes up, no object detail.
Even when going straight from the menu to object detail, no object or info is presented, only the word "Properties".
Does Booking support Joomla 2.5 or should I try 1.7 ?

Tried this a little more, found out you can actually book this one day that comes up in the daily or weekly view, but only one day and neither can one book in the monthly view nor does any more than a one day show up.

The database for the old entries did inded seem to clean it self.

Tried new entry, worked fine for the back-end, but on the front-end the detail view only shows one day no matter if it's daily, weekly or monthly view. One can book this one day in the daily and weekly view, but not in the monthly view.

Hi Jitr.

Tried upgrading to 1.2.17, first in the back-end, then by uninstalled Booking and reinstalled it by downloading a new zip file from my Artio account. The outcome was the same. The detail page loads, which is progress, but the calendar is limited to what you can see on the attachment, all calendars, and no booking possible.
When I uninstalled there was an error message, attachment 2.

Note: The dtabases where not deleted, let me know if you think a total refreshment is needed, and I will involve the hosting server.

Bought and tested Artio Booking v. 1.2.16 for joomla 1.5.25 on my test server (linux - PHP Version 5.2.17). I got everything working fine back-end and front-end. Then I set Book it up again (from scratch) on my site which is on a windows server.
[Windows NT WEB10 5.2 build 3790 (Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition Service Pack 2) i586 ] PHP Version 5.3.3

Everything seemed to work fine until I tried the "Make a Reservation" button (booking detail page) on the front end. The page came up, missing all css instruction, just basic text I had put in for the object at the back-end appeared in the top left hand corner, not using the correct character set and there was no sign of the calendar. (See attachment)

I have had some exchange with my hosting provider. Two times we have set the Joomla up again and then installed Book it - with no success, always the same outcome.

I couldn't find a detailed server requirements on your site to forward to my hosting provider. Do you have such a document or do you have any ideas about what could be wrong?
