Do you know when the next version with this fix will be released?

I am using Joomla 2.5 and have started using the JoomDOC with it to upload files for the company. I have around a thoughsand or so files uploaded through JoomDOC. The front end of the site is painfully slow to navigate and even download the files. Is there anything that i can do to fix this problem.

Oh the site is a company web site so it is just for the inside employees to use so i dont understand why it is so slow.
