Ok. I found a workaround.

We can populate Description and Keywords by hand using the "JoomSEF Meta Tags Manager".

at the joomla back end Go to:

components > Artio JoomSEF > manage meta tags

This is not the most practical solution but at least solves the problem for the main pages of my website.

It would be great that someone from artio could help us to find out if we are doing something wrong that prevents joomSEF to automatically generate the meta tags

I have the same problem since i upgraded to version 3.5.5.
I have just upgraded to version 3.6.1 and the problem persists.

It seems to be that joomsef 3.5.5 and above is preventing the joomla global configuration to be used.

Without descriptions and keywords Joomsef is simply not SEF anymore.

Can someone from Artio help us?

I´m using joomla 1.5.15 and JA Purity Template. Just after I upgraded to joomsef 3.5.5 the site name disappeared from the browser window and from the main page of my website. rogeriocouto.com.br

As an alternative I solved the problem editing each SEF extension that I found that the site name was missing. See example below:

on joomla back end:
components>Artio JoomSEF>Manage Extensions>
Installed SEF Extensions>Content>Parameter>Common>Custom site name>"Your Sitename".

Also if I turn off artio Joomsef the site name reappears.

Does any one else have the same problem? Is this the only solution?

I had the same problem. When i logged with a user that had it´s language set different from the site´s default language the whole site was automaticaly translated as if the user had made that choice at the joomfish menu and the joomfish menu kept saying that the site was still in the default language.

I changed that user language back to the default site´s language and everything got normal again.
