We are using Chrome, and Firefox and Internet Explorer - all exhibit the same problem.

There are no browser errors at all,,,,

Please can you work more on this as it still doesn't allow us to edit order lines or amend values

Further to my earlier post today - I've read the documentation on "Taxes & VM Invoice" It is reproduced below:

3.6.4. PRODUCT TAXES

Product, shipping and payment (in VM2) tax information constsis of two elements.

First is Tax rate select box. Available taxes are taken from VirtueMart and "guessed" based on information stored at order (using Tax rate tolerance defined in config). If no available tax rate match stored tax amount, it is selected "-other-" option. That can happen for example if item uses discount (VM1) or multiple taxes are applied to product (VM2). In that case, Tax amount value is not calculated after clicking "Recompute".

Second is real tax amount. That is value stored in database in VM2 or simply computed by deduction of net price from gross in VM1. If list is recalculated, tax amount is computed from product Net price multiplied by selected Tax rate (if is not selected "-other-").


Does this give us a clue as to what might be going on - Within VM2 we calculate taxes by deducting the amount of tax from the gross value for products. Delivery costs are entered within VM as a net value and tax is added on.

This wasn't a problem with version 2.0.24 but maybe the documentation has been updated for version 2.0.26?

Dear Anyone at VMInvoice

Please can someone help me resolve why we cannot modify prices or taxes AND SAVE THESE TO AN ORDER for lines 2 onwards on an order and to the delivery/shipping charges.

The recompute button is there but when you click on it, it does nothing and changes to costs and taxes are not updated to the order.

Perhaps this is a set-up issue with my VM - but I cannot resolve this without some help from you guys.

NB I've upgraded today to VM Invoice 2.0.26 but the problem still remains.

Note we did not have this problem with Version 2.0.24 and it used to work like a dream. Now it does not work anymore and editing and amending orders was the main reason for purchasing it in the first place.

I originally posted this query a number of weeks ago and still I have not received a resolution!!!

Hi Maju

Sorry on my system it's different - I can only modify and save 1st product line.

Lines 2, 3 or more and the shipping lines cannot be modified and saved.

Thats the point - if you have only a 1 line order the product price can be amended and is updated by the Recompute Prices for Item button.
However this does not work for orders with more than 1 line - . Here for line two onwards the recompute button does not update/save the order line.

Also it does not work if you amend the delivery charges - recompute just returns you back to the order without updating the changes to the price.

Please can you take another look and advise when this bug can be removed.

Hello support - Thank you for the update on this.

Yes I do have these Icons you mention - HOWEVER if there are more than one order lines you cannot make amendments for lines 2 onwards you can enter new cost figures from the icon menu but when you click re-calc the order does not update to the new figures and does not save.

This is also true if you add a new order line or amend the shipping fee. You can enter the figures but they do not update and do not save to the order.

Please can you advise - do you require a separate licensed version of VM Invoice for each VM website we wish to deploy this on. We have purchased and use it on our first website but now are considering adding it to a second site.

Please note we can only proceed to adding it to the second site once the problem of not being able to edit and save orders in version 2.0.25 has been resolved - This was raised on the support forum 2 weeks ago but there has been no response from VM Invoice developers in this time.

Please advise.

For the Attention of the VM Invoice Support Team:

I'm disappointed that there has not been any comment from the support team on this bug in the most recent issue. VM Invoice is a great add-on but is let down by slow support....

I've noticed that when editing a order in version 2.0.25 you can edit and amend the first line of an order only. If the order has multiple lines you cannot make changes to the line, pricing or tax calculation for line 2 onwards.

Please can someone from VM Invoice take a look at this most urgently - as the ability to edit VM orders was the main reason for deploying this software and at the moment we are not able to do this.

Following the upgrade to 2.0.25 the tax summary only shows up on the invoice if the payment method is set to VM Payment Paypal.

When we set it to any of our other payment methods the invoice does not show a tax summary and when we save the order/invoice we get an error "Cannot Save Payment" at the top of the screen.

Does this help with sorting out this problem? If not I will create you an access on our testing server.

We have recently upgraded to version 2.0.25 but in doing so we have lost the ability to successfuly edit orders and save changes from the invoice management section.

For example we could add products or change delivery costs from the order detail screen. We can get as far as a screen which allows a cost to be entered but any new figures do not get saved into the order.

In version 2.0.24 this was easy to do but everything has changed in 2.0.25.

The easiest way would be for us to revert to version 2.0.24? Is this possible.?

Please an urgent response would be appreciated as this is causing significant problems.

Hello Artio

We are a new customer to your VM Invoice product but we're struggling to get the tax summary and invoice totals to show up on our invoices.

We've set all the totals to YES in the configuration window but this doesn't make any difference.... We get the order line by line on the invoice but don't get totals for the order or an invoice summary.

We've reset the invoice template to as supplied but this doesn't make any difference either.

Please can someone suggest how to solve this?

Hi, I've just tried removing all the instances of VM Invoices in the extensions table. This still produces the same problem when i go to reinstall the component:

I get the following error in the install:

• Install Plugin System - VMInvoice Autorun success
• Error installing component
• Component Install: DB function reports no errors

In the Extensions Manager there's 'System - VMInvoice Autorun' which is disabled. If I enable it the whole site dies (white screen front and back) and I have to put up a backup.

Soemthing clearly amiss here. Any iea what else I can try? We really don't want to have to revert back to an old version of the site as there's been a lot of development since then.

Hi, I'm running VM Invoice on Joomla 2.5.9 with Virtuemart 2.0.18a.

VM Invoice was working fine but due to other issues I had to revert to an older backup (prior to the VM Invoice install). When I went to reinstall VM Invoice it brought up an error (tables/folders already existing).

Next step was to uninstall the component. This again produced errors.

Next step was manually removing the component (from admin > components, components, the langauage files and the database).

VM Invoice is still visible in Extension Manager and when i try to remove it throws up:
