Hi,

Problem is when I unpublish a product in virtuemart I have to manually go into Joomsef and delete the urls for the product or else it leads to a

Error: Sorry, but the Product you've requested wasn't found!

page and this leads to duplicate title and meta data as it sometimes reverts back to the homepage meta info also can lead to a soft 404. But most of the time it's just an error page with the meta from the homepage which can be annoying if I have missed deleting all the sef urls. Leading to duplicate title and meta description in webmaster tools.

I have tried updating urls and purging but does not seem to help. Also gets to be a pain when unpublishing a number of products and having to manually delete the sef urls that go with them.

Hi,

The SEF link for the ask a question button on the virtuemart product detail page is leading to a 404 page on all products.

www.domain.com/product/ask/

It used to work fine but unsure why the SEF link is giving a 404 now.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi not sure if this is joomsef related but are getting URLs indexed in google like this

www.wwww.domainname.com/pagename

Which are just duplicates of the www.domainname.com/pagename

I am at a loss and unsure how to fix this problem or what is causing it.

Hi,

Whenever a customer chooses an item information selection on a product detail page it refreshes back to the same detail page without choice. Purge of SEF urls fixes it for one click then it's back to same problem.

Also some get stuck on a selection like sm size and won't go back to original details page or another item choice like medium. Is there a way to un-sef the item information links?

Have to keep purging SEFs as the account, order view, account maintenance links change to log out after a while and I have to keep purging the SEFs to get the correct links back.

Is there a way I can unsef the account management links to stop this happening as I have done with checkout and the user module?

It was a mixture of index (original) and SEF URLS that were giving the duplicates also was mixed up SEF URLS that had 3 SEF urls joined together. Also some that had an old flypage mentioned in the URL.

Easy one as it's a VM product from Different categories

I got the SEF urls that were joined together fixed, then changed the Robot.txt file to disallow the other URLs and also the parameters in webmaster tools. Cleaned the 301 redirects and went through the duplicates and made active one of every duplicate. So hopefully this will have some effect.

Well I found a fix I disabled SEF url's for the cart which seems to be working ok. For some reason
the cart not SEF url would use the index/register SEF if you decided to leave checkout to browse more products. Once you tried to 'show cart' this would load the home page and my customers could not checkout. Also leading to a loop.

I had "Set server QUERY_STRING?" option to "Yes".

Disabling SEFs for the cart, deleting all the 301 redirects and redoing as needed and disabled SEFs on User seems to have fixed the problem and site runs smoother and quicker.

With all the problems I have had with Sh404sef and now Joomsef sometimes I wonder if it's worth using SEF for URL's.

Problem with cart and joomsef when clicking add to cart after adding products to it instead of going to checkout page it goes to a index/register page which is the homepage.

Serious problem I have brought support for this but have had no contact regarding it. Please contact me asap as I am losing sales.

115 short meta descriptions

791 duplicate title tags
157 missing title tags

In webmaster tools can someone please tell me how I fix this problem.

I know about
"Set server QUERY_STRING?" option to "Yes".

Which is set to yes, this happens not at first but after a while. It happens at different times and I have to purge the SEFs to get it redirected to the checkout cart page again. This is very frustrating because if I'm not checking all the time I don't know it is happening and lose sales. At the moment it is happening daily and pretty much purging sefs 3 to 4 times daily incase.

I am more than happy to buy support for this to be fixed I really want to know if it can be fixed.
