Book it! 2 is compatible with Joomla 2.5/3.0, so it is no more compatible with older Joomla 1.5.
We recommend you to make backup of your database before updating to new version.
How to upgrade:
Because Book it! 2 do not contain modification package for older Book it! 1, you have to uninstall your component Book it! first. Uninstallation of Administrator part of Book it! should uninstall all component parts (plugins, modules etc.) Only database tables remain.
Then if you install Book it! 2, it should also modify your database to actual version of Book it!
Please, check after upgrade that everything works fine. If you will have any issue during upgrade to new version, then contact us here on forum.
EDIT: You should be informed about order modification by email.
Your orders will be modified manually by my colleague. You will also get new download_id for this component.
Then you should get email with new download_id and email from my colleague, that your order was modified to Book it! 2.

, that you need new version of Book it! and add there also nickname or order id. When my colleague will modify order, you should be immediately informed about it.
B1.6 is improved B2 for J1.5 only (without ACL). If you want to use new features and have J2.5 then you can switch for free to B2. We are developing B2 only. Branch B1 is closed (bugfixing only).

. So you don't need to do that. When we will modify your order, you should be informed about it with automatically generated email from our website. There should be new download_id. We will also inform you manually for sure.
