TOPIC: Booking Search Form Separate for Templates

Booking Search Form Separate for Templates 11 years, 11 months ago #35694

hi,

How can we make separate booking forms for different templates, and have a drop down for a specific "property" or different properties like availability of package/object/booking for the specific dates or date range.

like in a travel portal.

thnx :D

Hello,
can you please describe it in more detail or send a screenshot or wireframe of what you would like to do?
From the description, I do not clearly understand what you want to achieve.

Hi.

Please refer the attached image.

hotel_wireframe.png

The image shows a representation of the functionality that we are looking for.

In the top, next to Home and Hotels, there will be other functionality of our website like for eg. Packages each of which will be Artio templates.

When a user clicks on Hotels, he/she is shown the search module only of the (artio) template features of the Hotel template.

Similarly, when a user clicks on Packages, only the enabled search features of that particular template are shown in the search module and not all features from all templates.

We also require multiple search modules on the same page.

Please let me know if you will be requiring admin access for the same.

Thank you.

Hello,

You can use filter instead of search module. Filter shows only fields (from 1 template) to filter actual list of objects and search module shows fields from all templates. Filter is part of the component and his default position is on the top of the list.
We have 1 example on our dmeo site:
demo.tramin.artio.cz/joomla25/en/car-rental/car

You can see there are only filters for cars and not for hockey arenas or accommodation.

Properties you want to show in filter have to be filterable. Also check Configuration -> Objects if there is filter enabled.
