TOPIC: Front End functionality links

Front End functionality links 13 years, 2 months ago #23277

I have created front end menu links for ticket sales etc. and logged in as user with manager permissions associated with tickets and just receive a blank page for each of the front-end services.

I have turned on error checking to maximum but no error detail is received. Additionally I have increased the memory allocation to the php.ini file with no effect.

Everything else is working fine.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Hello,

It's quite difficult to say what should be wrong without any hints.
Are you sure, that the eTicket installation was successful? VM must be installed first.
You can check if all files (including VM configuration) has correct access rights.
Then try to check Apache error log, if some errors are there.
It should be because of some VM module, that trys to include VM config file (but they check it incorrectly). But this error usually end by some error message.
I see, that you have some programmer knowledge, so you can put some information texts into the code and see, where is the problem (which text will not be displayed).

If it won't help or you'll explore some difficult problem, please, write me again.

Have a nice day, Pedu.

Hi Pedu,
Thanks for the post and content therein.
I have checked the apache error log and, quite right, it is generating an exit signal segmentation fault (11).
The actual error for the record is: "child pid 9360 exit signal Segmentation fault (11)"
Indeed, in Firefox, it is triggering the download of an empty index.php page...
It may be that some files have corrupted on install, though the install appeared to be successful - no error messages.
I will do a clean down and re-install from fresh and see what happens.
Report back upon completion, but, feel free to add anything should an idea come to mind.
Best regards
Steve
