TOPIC: Public documents are requiring users to log-in

Public documents are requiring users to log-in 13 years, 9 months ago #12411

Hello,

I am having a problem with the frontend of my website. I am running Joomla! 1.5.15 and joomdoc 2.0.2.

For some reason when I upload documents to the backend and place them in any category or group, mark them for "everybody" and then attempt to view them on the front end of my website, it asks me to log-in and redirects me to my log-in page.

If I attempt to click on previously uploaded documents set for "everybody", I can view or save them as normal.

I have confirmed all my settings that the individual documents and category are listed as "everybody". I did find one way to fix it, but I'm not sure why this is happening. If I change the URL to the document from index.php?option=com_joomdoc&task=doc_download&gid=116&Itemid=103 to index.php?option=com_joomdoc&task=doc_download&gid=116&Itemid=110, (changed the Itemid only from 103 to 110), then it works perfectly.

Maybe I'm missing something simple here, but I've been using this for quite some time on a few sites and never had this problem before. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Josh
