TOPIC: joomdoc for 1.5 download link to 2.5

joomdoc for 1.5 download link to 2.5 11 years, 9 months ago #30743

Hello,

I have a migrated site from joomla 1.5 to 2.5 - and upgrade joomdoc - and my content now has a number of links that were created using joomdoc link editor button - that no longer point to the files that have been successfully migrated -

i have searched high and low for a solution here - i am hoping there is a way i can update the links without doing it one by one

anyone?

currently my links look like this: ?Itemid=160&option=com_joomdoc&view=docman&gid=70&task=cat_view

producing the following error

500 - View not found [name, type, prefix]: docman, html, joomdocView

I am using joomla 2.5.4 and joomdoc 3.4.0

Re: joomdoc for 1.5 download link to 2.5 11 years, 9 months ago #30905

it is hard to believe that I am the only person that seems to be having this issue - i must be missing something with the upgrade

i got the joomdoc to work in my jooml 2.5 using joomdoc 3. --- which i migrated from joomla 1.5 using joomdocs 2.0

the files transfered no problem -but what about the countless links i have in my joomla k2 items and module that link to those docs

the 2.0 link looks like this:
<a class="joomdoclink" href="index.php?option=com_joomdoc&amp;task=doc_download&amp;gid=286&amp;Itemid=160" target="_blank">Directions to Christie Lake</a>

and the 3.0 links look like this:
<a class="joomdoclink" href="index.php?option=com_joomdoc&amp;task=document.download&amp;path=pdf/directions/Directions+to+Christie+Lake.pdf" title="">

i cant see how i would do a mass update when one would need to go through link by link - which is appears i am going to have to do]

there must be hundreds of links in this site - going to be a late night

am i missing something -- i don't want to come across as a complainer here - free code and all (i have purchased a few copies of the joomsef) -

hopefully someone has a solution to the full migration - i don't mind getting my hands dirty in phpmysql - but i just dont' see how the new links can be formed by the old?? i suppose an sql query would be able to search and replace?????

thanks for awesome work on 2.5 capable joomdocs --

Hello,

Can you check your rights in folder for JoomDOC documents?
And do you have some error logs? Can you post here what errors do you get if it is not problem of permissions?

Hello,
thank you for a quick answer.

I know reason. Problem is in joomla SEF. If i disable nice rewrite, then delete works.

Now i use joomsef and delete works to hafl, because now is delete without errors, but joomdoc says:0 deleted files:)
Thak you,
regards,
Marthass
