What version of JoomSEF are you trying to install? You need to use JoomSEF 3 for Joomla 1.5.

The free version of JoomSEF 3 for Joomla 1.5 from this site which I see is corrupted. I am thinking of the buying the paid version that is somewhere around 26 euros I think. I think that has been the problem all along. I have also been told by the developer of Joomlistings that I should upgrade to Joomla 2.5 But I don't think that is the problem, it is the actual JoomSEF 3 that is corrupted.

I have finally installed the JoomSEF successfully and the ext_joomsef3_uddeim.zip, so thank you very much. The only problem now is that on the front page I have the following showing :
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class SEFConfig in /home/xxxxxxxxxxxxxl/public_html/administrator/components/com_sh404sef/SEFConfig.class.php on line 16

Is this due to the sh404SEF being disabled and not uninstalled or is there another way of rectifying this.

Hi,
Yes it seems that sh404sef is using the same class name as JoomSEF and loads it even when disabled, so you will probably need to uninstall the sh404sef completely.

I have left the sh404sef on the site but disabled it and I hope there will be no conflicts as it appears to be working with the Artio SEF and the Fatal Error is gone. Thanks
