I've got the same problem... heaps of database calls to the content table...

And which version of JoomSEF does this work on?

Hello,

I wonder if anyone can help me with this issue. We are having spikes in CPU usage up to 90-98% everyday. The version of Joomla is 2.5.4 and the version of joomSEF is 4.2.9. We have lots of mysql queries on your server:

SELECT * FROM `aas_sefurls` WHERE `origurl` = 'index.php?option=com_content&catid=131&id=3845&view=article' LIMIT 2


Any ideas to help solve this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Do you use Cache in JoomSEF? Try adjusting its parameters, mainly set the "Minimum cache hits count" to 1, so every URL that is clicked is stored in the cache right away.
You can also try enabling the System - Cache plugin in Joomla to cache whole pages.

I had ACESEF and today i got JoomlaSEF :
My site Database query was 90 after i activate the JoomlaSEF the Database query jumps to be 1050 :(
How to reduce this, this kill and site and the speed, ACESEF and JoomlaSEF have the same Problem
