I'm thinking of trying JoomSEF, as all other SEF products have created problems with add to cart and checkout.

I have J1.5 and VM1.1.9.

Our site is running on a Zeus server.

My question is: will JoomSEF work with Virtuemart 1.1.9 running on a Zeus server?

Hi,

We haven't tested JoomSEF on Zeus server yet. Basically the main requirement for JoomSEF is some kind of URL rewriting. From the information I've found, Zeus supports URL rewriting but its rewrite rules have different syntax from classic Apache's mod_rewrite. So theoretically JoomSEF should work on Zeus server, but you'll need to manually change the syntax of Joomla's .htaccess file to Zeus's format.

I installed the free version, plus the paid Virtuemart extension this morning on our Zeus server, with rewrite.script file containing basic rules provided by our hosting provider.

It works perfectly! Thank you, I only wish I had tried JoomSef first, it would have saved me a week of being driven nuts by other SEF products that don't fully work.

My opinion of JoomSEF? Great product, slick, professional, great design, easy deployment.
