TOPIC: VM 2.0 response from payal

VM 2.0 response from payal 11 years, 11 months ago #29853

Hi!

I am using VM2.0.6 Joomla 1.5.25 and the paid virtuemart extension of joomsef 3.

Each time the user pays and returns to my site from paypal the url looks like this-with ORDERNUMBER
and PAYMENTNUMBER changing each time the user makes a payment.

index.php?option=com_virtuemart&task=pluginresponsereceived&view=pluginresponse&on=ORDERNUMBER&pm=PAYMENTNUMBER

This URL changes to the SEF URL index.php/virtumart and there is a duplicate SEF URL for the main page with the main
page of my site points now pointing to the paypal return link rather than VirtueMart.

Can someone please help me by telling me what I am doing wrong?

Thanks,
Deepa

Hi,
Thank you for your report, we'll probably need to update our VirtueMart extension for JoomSEF to support the Paypal return link correctly.
I'll let you know when the new version is available.

Hi,
You can use the Manage Extensions page in JoomSEF to update your VM extension to latest version 2.1.2.
The payment response URLs should no longer be SEFed. You may need to delete the already created SEF URLs for them using JoomSEF's URLs Manager and clear JoomSEF's cache.

Hi,
Thanks for your response. I changed it by not SEFing the component. I have a left menu of
categories from VM 2.0.6. The problem I have now is that I can no longer exclude it from this URL...
index.php?option=com_virtuemart&task=pluginresponsereceived&view=pluginresponse&on=ORDERNUMBER&pm=PAYMENTNUMBER
Any advice on how I can do this?

Thanks,
Deepa

I'm sorry, but I don't understand what you're trying to exclude from the URL? Could you post a few examples of what the URLs look like and describe what's the problem with them? Thank you.
