Hiya..

I'm trying to configure joomsef to do this:

1. add .html to my articles
2. NOT add .html to site/forum.html
I just want site/forum

same with categories..

site/forum/general.html

or site/cats/subcat.html

How can this be achieved.. I've had it configured in J1.0 to do this.. I think...

hoping for help!

Hello,

I am afraid JoomSEF 3.x does not support this. Either you use file extension or you do not.
JoomSEF does not allow to use extension only for some URL in basic configuration anymore.

Of course, you can edit the URL once it is generated and save as custom URL or an extension generating the URL could be adjusted to handle the suffixes in a special way - i.e. only for specific URLs.

In general, from SEO aspects, it is recommended not to use suffixes. That is why it is OFF in JoomSEF by default.

Domain Links with. html, or without. html differentials which is much more advantageous, with or without?
