Hello, we need to have the sef urls as they generated by joomla.

Exemple for this link :
News & Events/News/EAPN News/11th European Meeting of People Experiencing Poverty - Homelessness and Housing Rights in the Context of the Crisis

With Joomla basic SEF, we have this url
www.eapn.eu/en/news-a-events/news/eapn-news/3223-11th-european-meeting-of-people-experiencing-poverty-homelessness-and-housing-rights-in-the-context-of-the-crisis

But with JoomSEF, we have this url :
www.eapn.eu/j254/en/eapn-news/news-and-publications/eapn-news/11th-european-meeting-of-people-experiencing-poverty-homelessness-and-housing-rights-in-the-context-of-the-crisis
(ps : j254 folder is normal because now this is our migration website)

We made a lot of tests, but we can not find the solution.

Do you have a idea ?

Thank in advance.

Hi,

By default, JoomSEF uses the full titles of categories and articles to create URLs, not the alias fields. So first open JoomSEF's Configuration and on the Basic tab set "Use Title or Alias" to "Title Alias", so JoomSEF will use alias instead of title. Then you can set any alias you want for your categories and articles and it will be used by JoomSEF.
Just don't forget that you need to use JoomSEF's URLs Manager to update or delete affected URLs after any change in configuration, and also clear JoomSEF's cache, so the URLs are recreated with new configuration.

Ok thank, but the path is strange.
In Joomla SEF, the SEF URL is the menu (example : www.sitename.com/menu/submenu/subsubmenu/article)

Is it possible to do that ?

Thank in advance.

And in the docs (there is only the Artio JoomSEF 3.x documentation avalaible), on page 23, there is "set page base href value" > "No - leave original".

But where is this option in JoomSEF 4 ?

Thank in advance.

It is currently not possible to use the menu path in JoomSEF, it uses the categories structure instead.
The "Set page base href" option is located in the Advanced tab in JoomSEF's Configuration. By default, this tab is hidden in latest versions, you need to first enable the Professional mode on the Basic tab and Save the configuration to be able to see it.

Ok thank for your answer.

But the url is strange !! I explain.

Example here for this article :
News & Publications / Press Room / EAPN press releases / 26 Governments seem set to ignore EU Poverty Reduction Target Edit

and the sef is :
www.sitename.com/en/eapn-press-releases/news-and-publications/press-room/eapn-press-releases/26-governments-seem-set-to-ignore-eu-poverty-reduction-target

We have twice the "eapn-press-releases". Is it possible to delete the first one ?

Thank in advance
