TOPIC: Redirect file extensions?

Redirect file extensions? 13 years, 2 months ago #4580

We're just about ready to launch our Joomla 1.0.15 site. I'm looking for a way to elegantly handle urls from our old site (.aspx) to the new site.

Is there a way to setup Apache to redirect the URL to the Joomla site and then let JoomSEF take over the redirect from there? I'd like to be able to map the old urls to comparable pages on the new site via JoomSEF.

I think this could be possible however I cannot say this for sure. You could use some custom rules in .htaccess file and also create custom redirects in JoomSEF or use the 301 redirection table to handle the requests in Joomla.
